What is the difference between the structure of double decker tents and single deck tents?

When I heard experienced campers say how to buy a tent, or when an outdoor store clerk introduced a tent, I often heard "this is a double-layer tent, this is a single-layer tent" and "a double-layer tent is better than a single-layer tent" Wait for this, but for the first time campers, there is no concept of single and double tents in their consciousness, and they can’t make judgments, so this article first introduces double tents and single tents.

The single-layer tent has only one outer tent, and the manufacturing process is relatively simple. The biggest feature is lightness and small size, but the air permeability is relatively poor. The double-layer tent is based on the outer tent, and a layer of inner tent with better air permeability is added, which is characterized by waterproof and better air permeability.

Therefore, the biggest difference between single-layer tents and double decker tents is breathability. The breathability function of tents is very important. It can prevent condensation during camping. During outdoor camping, due to the low outdoor temperature at night, when you are in the camping tent, the heat that people exhale forms a layer of water droplets on the inner wall of the tent due to the temperature difference between inside and outside. This phenomenon is called condensation. A well-ventilated tent allows water vapor to escape smoothly, while a poorly-ventilated tent will prevent water droplets from draining, which will wet the sleeping bag and affect the comfort of camping.
